Thought about turning the game on, saw The Roost post on Twitter that we ran a FB dive on 1st and goal from the 7, decided not to waste my time.

two UTEP 4th down penalties keep the drive alive. Unlike the UNT game (?) where we had a 24 play drive for nothing, we finally score a touchdown!

UTEP generosity pays off for Owls. 1st and goal from inside the 1 results in Owl TD. 7-7.

Handoff to the fullback. Caught in a logjam up the middle. Gains a couple.

After a timeout for an injured Miner ...

2nd & goal at the 7 ... Constantine rolls right ... eludes a rusher ... runs up to the 2!

3rd & goal ... handoff to Broussard ... jukes right and drives forward ... stopped at the 1.

But a Miner is called for unsportsmanlike conduct!! Half the distance ... and 1st down!! yay!

Broussard leaps over the pile the a Rice TD! Whew!!

No I looked it up, that was only a 19 play drive (and we did get a field goal on that drive). But UNT had 1 4th down penalty and 1 3rd down penalty, and Rice had about 10 straight plays that were X down and goal.

So we're getting better when we're gifted the extra downs!!

Miners take less than 2 minutes to retake lead. 14-7 UTEP.

You would think that after 58 years I would be used to this stuff.

Camera work is not great, but still decent by ESPN+ standards. Beats the commentary by a mile.

It was pretty close as to when he had possession and when knee lifted off ground. Maybe close enough to not overturn.

Are we going to line up 5'7" Montgomery at WR again this series?
Do we not have other WR's? Whatever happened to Knipe, Mason, others?
