still continues to jack up some nearly impossible 3s. i think he was 4-5 on simple open 3 looks and 0-6 on the 30 footer type shots. Bill Walton went off on him for settling for a contested 28 footer after getting a switch onto a slow big man. at the same time he made a lot of timely shots, passes and steals. defintely looked like the old marreon. had a bounce in his step that was contagious for the team.

Any player that keeps Bill Walton on topic for 15 seconds is having a GREAT game and/or a significant contribution to the sports audience.

A Walton broadcast is like nothing else in sports. Half the time you just want to smack him to shut up and half the time his ridiculousness has you cracking up.

Yep, if it's a casual watch. If it's a game I'm actually interested in, I lean more 90-10.

OT: I would have hoped Marreon would have improved in that shot selection. Maybe at least whatever has been holding him back has resolved.

Marreon revealed he has had a wrist injury all season. Apparently it is finally getting better.

I fractured my wrist when I was 20 years old. Seemed like it took forever to heal. It still hurts at times. fifty years later.

The wrist injury has been known, as Hurley has mentioned it several times through the season. I think some people were wondering if it was bad enough to affect his performance that much, why not sit him for a couple games, especially in OOC.

Yes, but overseas is not a monolith. lots of leagues and levels. goal is to an A League player in Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Turkey as those are generally the best leagues and their A teams pay pretty well. Booth, Taylor, Pearson were recent Rockets to play at high European levels. I think Knapke maybe too, but not certain. I believe Spencer is at an A league club, Belgium?

Yeah, Littleson is with Limburg United, in Belgium's top league. That's the same team Knapke played with last season. They won the Belgian championship this season. Spencer averaged about 10 points a game.

I've lost track of where Knapke is, if he is still playing. Fletcher too. The Eurobasket database appears to be behind a paywall now, so hard to check.

Boothe played in the German top league for a while, and now is back in the Turkish top league. He's a starter there, and has had a couple double-doubles lately, with 20+points, 10 boards and threw in a few assists to boot.

Digging a little, looks like Steve Taylor is playing in Israel this year. JD Weatherspoon is in Mexico, Jonathan Williams in Poland, Taylor Adway in Croatia, Stuckey Mosley in Canada. Malcom Griffin is still playing, in Greece. And Willie Jackson had a brief stint with the South Bay Lakers in the G-League this year.

Speaking of former Rockets in the pros, just saw today that Chris Darrington is playing for the Toledo Glass City in The Basketball League. Apparently he was selected to play in their All-Star game against a Canadian All-Star team.

Didn't know Toledo had such a team. The whole league doesn't seem the most organized, as it's not easy to find important information, like rosters, or where the heck does Toledo play - appears to be at Scott High School. It does seem they have some games streamed. Here's the website of the Toledo team:

I didn't have any luck finding a box score or an article on either conferences' website or the Syrcuse paper. I did find from someone's blog: Chris Darrington, dropped 35 points on 13-for-18 shooting, with 7 3-pointers.

There's some potential in the league. I think maybe having someone pushing out information might help it build local fanbase. What is it, made for tv? have some sort of deal or independent investment? Saw Kent Benson's name attached to a team in New Castle.

This is the supposed box score, but you will see Darrington is not even listed as playing. Doh.

Justin Moss also appears to have played, and thus must be playing for some team in the league, although I have no clue as to how you figure out which team. Their web presence is pathetically bad. (much worse than the MAC's even.) No searches. No player bios. Players only listed by 1st initial most places. Hard to tell where the teams play, etc.

I don't know how they attract any fans, as there doesn't appear to be any active promotional material out there in the world.

I did find a report on the dunk and 3-point contests. Darrington made it to finals of the 3-point line. For the dunk, some white kid wore a costume from "White Men Can't Jump' lol. Be a fun barn storming league if they could get their web-presence serous and bring a bit more of that we're here to have fun. New Castle might have the biggest arena to play in, if they're at the high school. Depends whether that Syracuse team is in the (former) Carrier Dome.
