We’ve had open looks too. I swear, we’re shooting better with pressure than we are wide open shots.

Dangit, we are really struggling with better competition. I was hoping to see us sharper given so many of our players have high major experience. Guys have to tighten up their spacing and passing and hold their footwork under pressure.

We’re doing some stuff you can get away with at home against UNC Asheville but you will never do well against any quality team.

South Carolina has really taken us off our game on the offensive end.

South Carolina has been a LOT tougher than us tonight. They are playing through contact a lot better than us. That’s the difference in level of competition showing.

I like the four guard lineup.

It is. It's also a CUSA mens basketball thing. The conference typically performs dreadfully in the non-con and then cannibalizes itself once conference play starts. It's a collective effort.

That's not going to get it done.

We’re letting them bully us around and play their game… We aren’t pressuring them much at all like we did in the first two games at home – what gives? They are a turnover prone team.

Go from averaging near 100 to on pace to score 40… Not good we can’t hit the broadside of a barn, and we’ve missed basically all of our free throws. Poor showing so far.

This team struggles to score in the halfcourt, and is a bad free-throw shooting team. That doesn’t bode well for when we play a team that we just don’t simply overwhelm with our full court pressure…

35-25 at the half. I would have taken holding them to 35 but we were pretty bad on offensive end. It isn’t just shooting the ball. We are letting them push our offense back out behind the stripe, playing on our heels and we’re not working hard enough or crisp enough off the ball. Footwork is everything, and ours looks *uncomfortable* against their D. Therefore, we’re not in rhythm and not confident.

We pressured when we could but didn’t make enough shots consistently to keep the pressure on.

UAB small guards being abused. Gotta get Quan going and Tavin has to stay in the game. GOTTA HIT FREE THROWS!!!

We need to make these guys defend off the ball. Move with more intentionality. We’re catching their physicality and letting them knock off our footwork. When guys are catching, they are too far from scoring position and are not feet ready to do anything with it. They have to reset their feet and then are guarded with somebody riding them. It’s good defense on South Carolina’s part but our guys have to step up and execute. They can do it, but it’s going to require a lot more effort and precision than they have shown or needed.

Get back in the game with defense, but to win, we have to start making shots through contact or making refs blow the whistle and making some FTs.

Missing all of your free throws on the road shows that you are mentally intimidated.. I hate that, I really thought This team would come out and put up a better showing. Hopefully we can make up ground in the second half and start making shot shots
