What a fast race!

BYU runner (Orton) won individual title. NC State won the team title.

I would think (?) the fast pace hurt her, but WRC I'm sure can give more insight later.

Still 45th overall (36th in the team standings) is still impressive. I'm just guessing she'll be disappointed because she expected better.

A Washington runner collapsed a hundred meters of so short of the finish line. She was attended by staff ... and eventually got up and staggered to the finish .... followed from two Rice runners (Rachel Shoemaker & Haley Allen).

If it's any consolation, Forbes clobbered the individual runners who advanced from the South Central regional (Texas, ACU & LSU) and moved up from 87th in 2019.
