Kevin was a great Bearcat and seems like a good guy but ESPN+ is doing him a disservice if they don't provide him with some serious coaching to improve his broadcasting performance. Sitting on the sideline and providing real insight is a skill just as much as scoring a reverse layup in traffic was in his playing days. As others in this thread have stated, he wears out the cliches and it's irritating to hear a graduate of Summit Country Day and UC repeatedly say "his-self".
Regarding ESPN+ is anyone else finding the audio level a problem? The commercials are at a much higher volume than the broadcast so I'm constantly having to change the volume level each break.
Bottom line, 4-0 is great and we'll get to see some real competition starting with Illinois. I bet the bench soon gets much shorter in game situations.

The fact that you used 'here' instead of 'hear' in a statement complaining about someone else's grammar is just...*chef's kiss*.
But seriously, the "100%" comments and misusing well vs. good in a lot of situations is what grates on me.

Good catch on me and it's fixed, thanks. Had I done that on the air, it would go unnoticed, in the "ether", as they say.

These guys look like they enjoy playing together. Wes called out Ado at the beginning but you could tell it was in fun and encouragement. I'm always a Bearcat fan but I think I'm really going to enjoy this team's chemistry, even knowing that there are going to be rough patches this year. Wes even said we have 12 rotational players...hoping we have a leader/scorer or two step forward over the next month before league play.
The thing about KJ is that the broadcast crews for those games are never respectable anyways so it doesn't bother me. I'd take KJ over Dan Dakich any day of the week. I wasn't a fan of Pete Gillen either.

That’s like saying I’d take a bologna sandwich over eating a truck stop urinal cake.
My takeaway from this game is that we look ready for real competition on Saturday. The guys defeated the undermanned team in a matter that they should have, and had a big score differential. I'm excited to see what they look like against legit teams.

Yeah, the audio levels are all over the place on ESPN+ broadcasts. During the Alabama A&M game, the production crew figured out mid game that the volume levels were low and you heard a sudden jump in volume as they adjusted. You'd think they would have figured that out before they went on air, or at least near the beginning of the broadcast. ESPN+ makes local news look like Emmy-award winning broadcasting in comparison.

Brings back not so fond memories of the year UC played at BGSU and they had literally student broadcasters doing the game... one male and one female IIRC. They were beyond bad and made an excruciating game (The 'Cats were supposed to pummel BGSU and struggled mightily all game long) even more painful. Jokes and memes abounded for a few weeks after that. I think my ears are still bleeding lol

I had a prior engagement and was unable to watch that one live. I got home late that night and wasn't tired, so decided to watch the replay of it. Five minutes into the broadcast, I had to mute it. Then, about midway through the 1st half, realizing watching the game with no sound sucked, I decided to check the box score and see if it was worth suffering through the rest of the game. Saw the score and said nope, I'm going to bed.

Isn't ESPN+ just the school's own production crew now? Should be of a high standard regardless.
