Of course, but we are only 3 games in and our two best players are 17 year old, supposed to be in high school, kids...

We definitely have to get turnovers down and we definitely have to improve rebounding.

My thought are that we are really good. Win at Brooklyn and we might be special.

I don't know what you're referencing.
Since your post is right after mine, I'll assume you're talking about my comment that Jayden has been much more consistent than the other 3.
(I said nothing about third on offense.)
I was stating that Jayden has been more consistent than Tyler, Chandler, or Earl.
I thought this was clear, but maybe not.

I was referring to the OP about Tyler being the third option on offense.
I thought this was clear, but maybe not.

EVERY good team in the country has things to work on

Just a reminder

As does Memphis

A unique potential upside for Memphis is that right now we are playing two would be HS Seniors. Their growth within a season has even more potential

Stay healthy. Don’t panic when they drop a game, and this will be fun

Emoni has been great...If he can maintain this level of play he will be special (Tough ask)

Jayden has been better...Shooting much better but likely still be a liability on defense against tougher opponents.

Nolley has been Nolley

Lester has been Lester

Tyler has been Tyler...Accept he is hot right now...We will see if this is real. Also right now Tyler is the backup PG if the other team even thinks about pressing us.

Duren is more athletic than I thought he would be...Feel he needs more touches in the post (Just like we pass inside to Deandre...Duren should get some touches in the post as well)

Williams starting slow shooting the ball...But he did last year as well...He will be top 2 in importance this year. Need him to be solid.

Dandridge is smart but tries to do too much...Plays defense with his hands and not his feet and still doesn't rebound at a high enough level.

Earl just seems clumsy to me right now...Falling and stumbling when it just doesn't seem like he should. Maybe he is out of shape...But he does seem to have the physical build and athleticism to be very solid...

Minott right now seems to be solid...Very good in the open floor...Better defender then expected. When the talent level of our opponents goes up I would like to see Minott before Jayden

Agree with most.
Only real thing I take exception with is Nolley. He looks to me like a much improved Nolley. No longer just a shot maker. Last game he led the team in rebounds and assists. And coming off the bench? He would not have accepted that before this year. He seems to be listening to the staff, and working on things that will help him in his career.

What are you roster experts going to do when Camden returns? He's probably the best pure shooter on the team.

Camden will have a chance to get some minutes because he can do one thing extremely well: shoot the three. This is why Tyler Harris is playing (and deservedly so).

In contrast, Earl Timberlake does not seem to excel at one thing, and he (at least at this point) is not as well rounded a player as the team's "big three on the perimeter": Lester, Bates and Nolley.

IF Timberlake comes around, IF one of either Malcolm or Chandler L. emerges as a solid interior backup, IF Camden returns and can nail some threes, IF Tyler keeps draining threes and IF Lomax remains steady at PG — to go with the "big five": EB, Duren, DW, Lester and Nolley ... that's a Final Four-caliber team.

True, that's a lot of IFs

Honestly it appears we have enough shooting...

And I don't think Camden surpasses Hardaway in the lineup...

Don't think we are going much deeper than that. But I don think there will be plenty of minutes to go around. If we quit giving the ball away we are going to able to sit guys late in games.

I think we are #11 in Effective FG% right now...Doubt that continues but if it does and we get turnovers below 15 games wont be close.

Camden is going to get very limited minutes this year. He was an excellent high school shooter but that has not translated yet. I certainly believe it will over time but we have too much talent too many other good shooters to play him significant minutes to find his groove this year. Camden will be an excellent four year player.

Tyler is much improved on defense and his shot selection seems significantly better. When he came in against St Louis, he immediately made 2 plays on defense (a steal and a charge) several minutes before he took his first shot.

If you are correct about Camden (and you very well may be), and JHardaway fills that role of reserve perimeter player who hits three with Tyler Harris ... that would not be bad at all, given Hardaway has experience in the system.

As to TO, if the Tigers could average 13.5 to 14.5, that would be fine (considering the fast past the team plays).

Well we had the flop ref crew here the other night.
So may as well put in our best flopper, lol.

Watching other games...

Teams are nowhere near our level of size or athleticism...Just play smart and we should be very, very good.
