Cubit was fired because it became abundantly clear he would never win a championship. We are seeing Cubit 2.0 right now. Just rip off the bandaid and begin the rebuild. Go out and find an energetic young coach with fresh ideas. I'm sick of the good old boys club around here. FIRE EVERYONE.

Pony up the money to get rid of him. Otherwise he is going nowhere. Just like the team.

Yeah the enrollment drop, logo nonsense, the listless 6-6 football seasons, the basketball program turning to garbage. It's just depressing.

We are pretty much a doorstep at this point. The admin is laughing and enjoying it all. They don’t want a D1 program to fund. They want excuses and reasons to drop us down. This is Judith Bailey 2.0

Lester is the worst OC head coach I’ve ever seen. Defense did work tonight and TL’s offense was jumping off sides…. Whiffing on direction.. (Did you see on Elebys fumble the entire offense was playing something different and he was caught on his own?). We were supposed to be a dangerous offense. Nope….

I was surprised how poorly our supposedly seasoned OL was playing. Without naming names, our OL often wasn't even slowing down the EMU DLmen, let alone provide sufficient protection to Eleby. On both blocked passes he threw we had EMU DLmen in our backfield-arms raised-within a second of the ball being snapped. With a veteran OL we can't even hold a block for 2-3 seconds or corral the DLmen off to the sides and keep them out of the flight path of a pass?

And what was the play where EMU rushed only two DLmen and FIVE of our OLmen couldn't keep them off Eleby? I was stunned seeing that.

I would say they are on par: similar records and unable to find the gumption to win the big game to get to Detroit.

To be fair Cubit's best teams fell short against great MAC teams and then the program fell off. Ball State's best team maybe ever and the best CMU teams in at least 20 years with elite skill players. Cubit's program lost steam but at least it generated some. The Tim Lester era is just a listless, frustrating and boring slog to 6 wins year after year.
