Much better second half, seems like we wore them out. Our starters might not be much better than their starters, but our bench is far superior. Ody has probably played his best half of the season this second half as well.

If this group gives effort they can be good.

He probably shouldn’t get a lot of minutes. I rather see Newman, DDJ, MAW, Mikey, and Davenport play at the 1-3 spots.

Last game it was a center, this game it was a PF. Koval is the only one who consistently plays good defense. Davenport was dominated on the defensive end tonight and Ody struggled in the first half, but turned it around in the second half (though he just threw a horrible pass as I write this).

Mason can make open threes, but he forces a lot. It seems like any time he makes a play on defense he immediately tries to shoot a three on offense. If he can learn to play and take what he is given within the system he should be fine.

I am upset they didn’t win by more. Honestly that is a good thing.

I like this team. Offense is a bit of a work in progress, but they have a lot of pieces to work with and they play hard.

Ody reminds me of a Justin Jackson-Kyle Washington hybrid.

Hensley reminds me of a more physically developed Diarra.

I like what I am seeing from Oguama. Newman plays hard and has potential to be very good.

Ado appears to be the weakest of the bunch. He had a little better rebounding night but doesn't give UC much on offense.

Oguama looks bouncy. Koval looks solid, doesn’t force it. Ado looks inept.

Can really see the potential there with Hensley, looks like he still needs the game to slow down for him though, especially on offense. Once he figures it out he will be hard to keep on the bench.

Ody looked like he started to figure it out in the second half. He has consistently shown energy and athleticism, just inconsistent at boxing out and tries to do too much on defense. But he had an excellent second half (and even overall game).

Davenport really struggled defending Johnson, hopefully this is a wake up call for him that he needs to learn to defend the post. Good teams are going to go after him if he continues to defend like he did tonight.

Feel bad for McGinnis in his first real minutes, not sure what the injury was, but it looked fairly serious.

Really everyone looks good or young with potential and things to work on, but can see they will be excellent in the future. The only exception is Ado, who has just been bad so far.

Are Koval, Ado and Newman all just 1 year guys?
