How does a team that finishes tied for 5th out of 7 teams in the MAC get an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament? Shows you how reputation and crowd size effect these bids. Fifth out of 7!!!

I believe they were 6th out of 7 teams. They had the same conference record (2-3-1) as Western Michigan but lost to them.

They have a home game tomorrow against Santa Clara. Just got a ticket last night. It will be sold out. Could there be more fans there than the football game on Saturday? I doubt it but the soccer crowd will be louder and surely more students

Well, the Zips went into the dumper tonight, losing to Santa Clara (2-1). But BGSU took care of Louisville & NIU won also. Three MAC team remain (WVU had a bye).

Actually 4 do. Georgia St (Yes part of MAC in soccer) won as well.
