The way Wommack handled it with the media may just end up being a bigger deal than what words were said and punches thrown. Whatever happened should have stayed on the field and between the two universities.

Yeah, he was no doubt in a tough spot with his locker room and he should have made it crystal clear to the player that he believes him but he also can't make any statements like he did to the public.

Wommack really lost my respect for how poorly he handled it. This player was involved in a scrum last year with App in the bowl game and it seemed like the story grew from spit to racism. The kid is obviously a loose cannon.

For the record if something had been proven he’d been gone yesterday. I do hope Spurlin sues for defamation.
