Keeping UTA and Little Rock affects Troy more than anyone else. What are your thoughts on keeping them?

RE: To Troy fans
I don't care if they stay or leave the SBC.
Being so geographically close to West Division schools USM, ULM, ULL, and USA for football will be easy... and then we're already close to East Division schools like Georgia State and Georgia Southern.
Plus we have a long basketball history with Georgia State and App State, dating back to over 70 years... especially Georgia State (dating back to the A-Sun days).... back when the A-Sun was at its peak with Troy, UCF, Georgia State, FAU, Belmont, College of Charleston, and Mercer.

I'm almost entirely football focused, with a few exceptions, so I barely even think about these schools until someone mentions them. I don't mean that to be offensive, I wish them the best of luck whether they are in the SBC or not.

I don't mind keeping them but can Troy and South Alabama have locked rivalry games in basketball, baseball, etc.? That way it's one trip that is also close to us like the 2 GA twins. I know it can make scheduling a little weird but Troy would have to travel a whole heck of a lot more in the east than in the west. I prefer the west but I don't necessarily want to kick anyone out.

People get so lost in divisions for basketball and forget we’ve not used divisions in basketball since Gill took over
There won’t be divisions in basketball whether we’re at 14 or 16

So did we use divisions last season simply because of COVID?

I wish we would play a round robin in basketball with all 14 teams home and home. I hate our basketball schedule. It seems hard to get a descent home and home ooc and I sure don't want to pay a team to come play at AppState. I think we could build rivalry games quick. There is no one in the new Sunbelt that I wouldn't want to see play basketball at AppState. We could drop the William Peace d3 schools. Our strength of schedule would have to increase.
