Wagon Wheel Week
It is Tuesday 11/16 and Akron still sucks! Time to become bowl eligible and celebrate in their stadium.

Anyone know how to get tickets that are not steeply over-priced?

Wow they are $25 for a ticket on the home side of the stadium. How do they justify charging that much for a losing team in a empty stadium? They shouldn't be more than $5 a ticket.

To be honest the price should be $0.50. However once you do that your admitting nobody wants your product. Not just this year but for a long time. Sometimes I think that’s why women’s sports has attendance issues. When you give the product away you’re telling every one it’s inferior. When things get better a lot of people still see it as inferior.

They have to pay for the stadium some how , some way. Over priced is an understatement.

I think both schools raise their prices for the "rivalry" game.I know they do it for basketball where it might be warranted but for football?

Should I risk finding a seller when I walk up? Its Akron, so I might have better luck finding a drug dealer.

It is Akron, any truth to the rumor they have a used hypodermic needle buyback program? You bring us 2 dirty needles and we’ll give you 2 tickets.

Less than 48 hours away from kickoff. It is almost time for a three peat for the good guys or as the legendary Paul Heyman would introduce them "HE REIGNING, DEFENDING, UNDISPUTED WAGON WHELL CHAMPIONS OF THE WORLD THE KENT STATE UNIVERSITY GOLDEN FLASHES!"

What's everyone's thoughts about Akronsucks hiring a new coach? What were they able to gain by firing the coach mid-season? They still have to pay Arth, right?

I can't see the appeal to the job. Yes, the stadium is new, but the university bleeds red, soccer is better attended than football, athletic teams had recently been eliminated. From what I hear even the prostitutes and blow on E Market aren't as good as it used to be.

With it being a FBS job I'm sure they will have plenty of options. They do have a new AD with previous stops at UW-Green Bay and University of San Francisco. Neither of them sponsor football so there isn't a track record to go by. Hopefully they hire someone that can win all their OOC games and then go winless in the MAC!

There’s always some assistant out there looking to put Head Coach on his resume to cash in and move onward and upward. Our job isn’t desirable, lowest pay and support, substandard facilities, usually 2-3 guaranteed OOC lo$$e$ every season and no history of sustained success. Coach Lewis has spoken about being warned of all off this, he accepted the challenge anyway. Akron will have no shortage of applicants, some quality choices, finding the right one is another story.

Pooch kicks aren't sexy, but 3 and outs are (For Zippy)

Edit: Zippy dropping TDs on 4th and goal even sexier

The announcers constantly calling players by the wrong name is really getting old.
