After the attendance last Saturday at Bobby Dodd, and the redout that is to come, I think the AD and GTAA have to come to a settlement. I just don't see how the AA can sell season tickets if the status quo is maintained. #fireGeoffCollins

Assuming you are correct, and they fire Geoff Collins, who do you replace him with that is an upgrade?

Virginia Tech payed $2.5m to not wait until December 15th to fire Fuente.

That sounds like terrible management if you ask me.

Especially with no more football tickets to sell this year, right?

That sounds like terrible management if you ask me.

Negotiated down to $8.75M from $10M.

And waiting may mean you miss out on your top target, and would absolutely kill any chance at salvaging a recruiting class, given early signing day is also 12/15.

Don't see how that's terrible management, but that's just me.

For what it's worth, Fuente's contract and the date associated with his buyout was signed before ESD was formally instituted, if others are curious why they ended up coinciding.

I thought about those same points in bold.

Can you point to anything aside from assembling one of the most talented football teams ever? Sure, Coker won with his players. He did it at Miami; the university that has a built in recruiting ground. South FL, up until the string of bad coaching decisions, was locked down and not even Bama could come in and poach talent.

Butch failed at Cleveland. Aside from raising the talent level at UNC, his W-L record at UNC was 4-8, 8-5, 8-5, 8-5. He goes to FIU and the thought was he would bring in the South FL talent, that didn't happen and his W-L record wasn't that great either (8-5, 9-4, 6-7, 0-5, 1-9). Never understood the hype.

Nope, I cant think of anything else except the amazing job he did at Miami. Im willing to give a coach a pass for failing in the NFL. It took him a few years to build Miami. But I think he might be able to do it again if he is able to build a wall around extreme South Florida and keep all that talent home. Bring in some of the same assistants and see what happens. He cant be much worse than all the misses that Miami has had since he left. It would be an interesting experiment to watch if nothing else.

The ACC office does not want him back. UNC can't afford for his name to be mentioned every week. While he didn't build the AFAM scam, he is associated with it just like his famous assistant Blake.

If Satt's offered that job, he should take it.

He'd leave a fan base of whiny a** b*tches who are suddenly entitled, and he'd experience a true fan base, be at a real football school, in a very winnable division.

Hopefully, he isn't offered. It would be crushing to Louisville's program, and set us back several years, when we are truly on the cusp of a very solid football team.

We get it. UNC...bad!, ACC commish...bad!, NC State... good!, NC State success or lack of success .... insert all ACC teams, officials, anything but NC State as an excuse. Hopefully, one day this unhealthy obsession will go away and you can concentrate on NC State's moderate success rather than the evil programs of UNC, Duke, Wake, Clemson, FSU, Miami, Catholic Church, Disney, Paula Dean, etc keeping State from dominating all things on this planet.
