Yeah. Whose brother is a basketball ref who actually called the Memphis game at UConn and absolutely hosed us.

He's gonna have to either be a coordinator somewhere or he'll be a head coach at a lower job (almost certainly not P5 level).

Remember, we hired Tommy West as DC after he was fired from a better HC job, then promoted him.

It'll be hard for him to come back from this.

Is TCU a good HC position?

It ain't a bad one.
P5.
Winnable conference.
Recruiting hotbed.
Good quality of life.

Bro...

In Foowhentay's presser at VT he stated one HUGE reason for his decision.

"This job comes with all those things wrapped up in a COMMUNITY that I can raise my three girls in and that was a HUGE CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO ME."

Bro... They had a lot of friends at St. Louis and still keep in touch.

Not saying he doesn't like Blacksburg more, just that he liked it here.

He had friends in St Louis, so he liked Memphis? You lost me.
It was pretty well known that his wife was looking for a less metro area to raise the girls.

How many guys do you know who work their way up to that nice P5 job. Then fail. Then drop back down and find similar success the second time around?
I guess Kiffin and Freeze are examples - although Kiffin never really worked his way up.
Any others?
It just seems to be tough to get the magic back after you've lost it.

Good timing. I was working on posting the Tweet announcing his firing.
I don't like how he left, but I still appreciate what he did for Memphis.
I like Ryan, I just think he may be in over his head.

Virginia Tech is Virginia Tech. I'd take Fuente back in a minute. I know his wife didn't like Memphis. I'm hearing out here in DFW some of TCU's big money (just some) donors would like him to replace Patterson. Great recruiting area.
Don't have to beat the world to be good at TCU.

Depends what you mean by work out, but mostly no. Bill Snyder did pretty well at Kansas State when he went back.
