I know FAU is big-time and all but let’s not forget that their last and only P5 win was in 2007 by 3-points against a 1-11 Minnesota. Final score might have only shown a 6-point win but we destroyed UM (we were up 23-3 late in the 4th quarter).

South Alabama spends $8.7M on football, FIU spends $14M. If $14M is not enough for D1 football, then $9M is not as well.

Charlotte spends $363k on equipment, 750k on game expenses, 1M on travel, 2.3M on facilities.

Yes, definitely more important. Haven’t heard any names yet. Assuming it’s too early for that.

All I know is that FIU is a mystery, all that money, all that student body, in a recruiting hot bed, a football stadium on campus for years even before they built the other one on top and still can't draw big interest. Take that school to another state and you will have a football power house.
BTW, my comment about UM is not to diminish the victory. I just think Miami was not that great at that point, that's all but who cares, it is just my opinion.

FIU will be fine and once USF leaves, FIU is the natural replacement.
