Jemison is incredibly athletic but one of the most robotic players I’ve ever seen.

Like buff urkel trying to learn how to dance

RE: Morehead State
We played good enough in the first half to win the game. You want players practicing their game in a real game situation. You want AD to play against Broome so he can work on his game. You want QJ attempting open look 3's when a miss does not likely cost you the game. You want the defense to change up and work on wrinkles in a real game situation vs a good opponent. Winning by a wide margin is great, but the players and team growing is potentially better. Get those technical fouls out now when you can learn and win.
I think this team can do great things and playing teams expecting to make the post season can get the team ready for those big moments.

I wonder if this is the reason Rongie didnt play...AD needed the work

Nice to see our 3 point shooting take a big step forward. When was the last time we hit 10 three's in a game? I was surprised Johnson didn't get more minutes in the 2nd half.
Jordan Walker is our best PG since AJ.

In the postgaem HCAK said they were gonna starting tightening up the rotation and that AD played because Rongie didn't have the size(height)to match up against Broome. I thought AD played broome pretty well...

Coach said he went with AD because of his size and he thought he did well defensively. Said he hates that he blew that layup.

Man, that is spot on. Great points. So much better to play a team like Morehead, who definitely can make you work even when to win relatively comfortably, than the sub-300s we often feasted on the last few years who didn’t force guys out of their comfort zones or test the coaches to make adjustments.

I suspect we’ll see Rongie for 12-15 minutes on Thursday and none of AD.

Kennedy said in his post game interview on the radio that Rongie was essentially too small to guard their center. Although listed at 6'10, Broome looked taller than Jemison. AD has no game insofar as I could see. LeBlanc is the best backup to TJ in the post and is very athletic, playing bigger than his 6'7" would suggest.

LeBlanc's wingspan and leaping ability are off the charts. He can definitely guard bigs as long as they aren't bulky.

Yep, and with respect to TJ,,, He needs to give up on that "fugly" hook shot of his and pick up some sort of offensive move facing the basket.

Good analysis, that. Well done.

RE: Morehead State
We received one of the Ts for making three sign after hitting the shot. Both sides were doing it and both stopped after that. Tavin took exception to getting taken out (I think he tweaked his back on that play) and was hit on the retaliation. Buffin was a double T with a MSU player pushing and shoving and a few dirty words......

One of the MSU Ts was a make up for the one we received for making the three sign after the shot. The Morehead player didn't do anything. Nothing.

MSU coach dropped an F bomb on Andrew (Official) and he swallowed his whistle and glared back. It was pretty chippy all night. Felt like Morehaed was trying to bait us into altercations. Similar to how the La Tech players were doing in the football game.

Morehead is a solid opponent and will contend for their league. Broome is a really good player.

Thanks for the explanation.

I saw a lot fewer new-guy problems than in prior years. The allez-oop from Walker to LeBlanc was not a play between two new guys in their second real game together. But there it was.

LeBlanc has star potential. And I actually thought AK should have kept Kasim.

I like LeBlanc too. He seems very raw offensively but is a beast athletically. He missed a WIDE OPEN lay up in the first half. He shot like 3 feet off the opposite side of the backboard. It was ugly.

My guess is Nicholson was told he could stay, but his minutes would be cut to 15-20. I'd be surprised if Kennedy ran him off, but I guess anything is possible.
