FAU broadcast on national TV has been out for almost 15 minutes. Great look.

... and now it's nearing 45 minutes.

good 2nd half by FAU, looks like they're just going to come up short.

Foul shots cost us that game. Good energy second half.

Good point, 4 point swing. His first year at FAU. I liked his energy but every time he did something on one end he would turn around and cancel it on the other end.

Also, Rice hosts Southern, UTSA hosts Denver and UTEP hosts Northern New Mexico College. The conference needs a minimum 3-2 record tonight, but 4 or even 5 wins would be a nice evening.

Looks like Middle Tennessee beat Winthrop 76-65.

We'll lose to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday night.

Somebody brought a pillow slip to a pillow fight

TA&M-Commerce 65, UTSA 62

Texas A&M - Commerce (formerly East Texas State University and will always be the real ETSU 05-stirthepot): From an alumnus (class of 1968) of that fine institution, infamously often back in the day fondly referred to as "Easy T" --

WAY TO GO BIG BLUE! Cheers, all! 04-cheers

That was certainly unexpected. What makes you an ODU supporter when you graduated from A&M-Commerce? Did you perhaps get your Masters from ODU? A&M-Commerce actually has a pretty good basketball program for their division. They actually have a decent Div. II football program as well, as they're 7-4 this year and 11-3 in their past season. They're even coached by David Baliff who was Rice's HC previously.

It should be noted that TAMU-Commerce is upgrading to NCAA Division I and joining the Southland Conference in a year or two. EDIT: They will join in 2022.

As bad as this loss is, it gets worse: UIW just lost to an NCAA Division III school in Concordia (TX).

Does anyone know if all 14 teams will qualify for the conference tournament or are we still only doing 12?

All fourteen (14) teams will participate in the single-elimination Conference Championship. Teams will be seeded 1-7 in their respective divisions and compete in a cross-divisional bracket based on regular season standings. The winner will gain the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

What a poorly worded explanation (from the conference office obviously - not trying to kick the messenger here). You can't have 14 compete in a single elimination tournament without some byes.

I guess the easiest way to do it is give the 1 seed in each division a bye, and then have 6 1st round games (2E vs 7W, 3W vs 6E, 4E vs 5W on both sides). That would create a quarterfinal group of 8. But knowing this conference, who knows what crazy format they've come up with.

Back in my school days when we were in the Belt, Denver was in the conference with us. That team was always a bunch of dudes who shot the lights out of the ball. They were not the best team in the Belt but they could beat anybody on a given night.

Yemi Nicholson 03-banghead

I was trying to think of his name! Dude was a monster. I went to a road game and Denver once. I got to sit right behind our bench and I had a blast. They have a beautiful campus.

Wait, so you are saying there is a Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis at Ft. Wayne?
