Tarleton ends its first full D1 season 6-5, and having watched every game, this young team could have easily gone 9-2.

Next year, knocking off Sam and battling for best record is the expectation.
Didn't you guys beat a D2 team by 3?

Yep.

We should have beaten Southern Utah and ACU. Could have beaten SFA and Eastern Kentucky.

It goes to we were a very inconsistent team as we played up or down to the competition this fall and last spring.

A lot to talent played their last game yesterday so we have to have a great recruiting class or two or three. With only two years left in the probation period, recruiting should get a little easier.

I had Sam and EKU as the two undisputed better teams (on the day we played them, anyway) And that's mainly due to their quality OL play. Linemen of that size, intelligence and quickness take time to recruit and develop. I thought our guys were the big bullies in town until we played those teams. UCA's DL came in highly touted, and had some nice stops, but still no match for Tarleton over 4 qtrs. The good news is the film will show not a single team we faced this season ever really shut down our offense, we just kept shooting ourselves in the foot when it came time to score, as young teams often do. All fixable.
