A10 favorite Richmond is kicking our butt. 49-36 at half.

Richmond came out firing with 8 made 3s and 62% shots.

GSU started slow with 20% shooting. slowly waking up but desperate to just keep scoring pace.

I’m not trying to jinx it but with about 7 minutes left in the first half, Jags are up 24-19 over #14 Alabama. We got down 10-2 early but have outscored the Tide 22-9 since.

Troy didn’t make a 3pt shot the entire first half if I heard the commentary correctly. Gotta be better than that.

Marshall fan will understand what Im saying. After watching Jannson Williams for 4 years at Marshall was frustrating as can be. He has always had all the tools to be a conference MVP, if he could have just kept his head on straight during the game.

Tonight is another example. Williams had 18 points (4-6 from 3), 3 blocks and 2 assts in the 1st half. He looks to easily have a career night scoring, his high was 24. He picks up a 2nd silly foul 60 feet from the basket right before the half. Comes out and picks up two quick fouls 23 seconds apart. Sets on the bench until the 5:30 mark and fouls out at 5:13. He scored 943 points at Marshall in 4 years, if he could have stayed out of foul trouble he could have easily been a 1500-1600 point scorer.

South Alabama put up a good fight against the #14 team in the country with a limited roster. We played just six guys prior to our back to back foul outs at the end. This team is fun to watch and will be a contender in the Sun Belt. After the initial onslaught we took the lead and kept it much of the game. We just ran out of steam at the end with 3 players out for injuries.

That taunting technical cost us. Up by 4 playing the #14 team in the nation and pulling a stunt like that is just dumb. 4 point swing to tie it and then Bama goes on a 12-2 run.
