I'm really glad you and others in Texas are talking about Louisiana!

Yep. And good news that people are confused with who LTU is! They sure seem to know our brand. Thanks for sharing that happy little tidbit.

Sure thing. I think I’m pretty honest with my assessment of La Tech. Hopefully you don’t talk to sane people about the ULL how you talk about them on this board. 99 percent of the population doesn’t know ULM and ULL are different schools.

Well, UL-Lafayette does have an ass-kicking scheduled Saturday against future Conference USA member, Liberty, so I'm sure we'll see plenty of you Cajuntards over here this week.

And you mean like that whipping they gave to UL-Monroe? AT UL-Monroe???

Congrats on your #22 rank, Louisiana-Lafayette, despite only one win against a team with a winning record.

Yep, we have a long, rich history to our state. It’s one of the reasons we are proud to be known as ‘Louisiana’ by the vast majority of folks. Heck, it’s even how our web address is named.

I think for the same reason future AAC members are posting stuff to their forum and future Suck Belt members are posting stuff to their forum. Those left behind in Conference USA have a vested interest in those four future members of which Liberty is included.

RE: Liberty vs Louisiana
I don’t think any UL fans have any unrealistic expectations about who we are. We’re not La Tech.

We are a solid G5 team, but we aren’t so good that we can’t lose to anyone on our schedule. And Liberty isn’t just anyone. They are at least as good as we are, and they are extremely hard to beat at home. We all have respect for Liberty football. They will be a great athletic addition to your league (and an embarrassing academic one if you believe the Earth is more than 6,000 years old, but I digress.) This should be one hell of a game Saturday.

P.S. feel free to add all the L’s y’all want behind UL. We’re having way too much fun to care.

RE: OT: Liberty vs Louisiana
Louisiana will win a 4 point game and run out the last 11 minutes on the clock. Liberty doesn't have the horses on the line to hold up for four quarters. Not sure if Louisiana is better than Ole Miss but they are far, far more physical. They have an SEC type offensive line and their best defensive tackle is much like that 6'5 350 LB guy from Georgia.

They will play two high safety with trigger blitzing, press on the outside and mix up cover 3 and cover 4 while playing shallow and requiring on read blitz plays to make havoc plays. It's kind of scary how easily they seem to close out games. They have a few NFL guys on the offensive line and probably two more future NFL running backs.

But the Texas Longhorns, who just gave Kansas their first FBS win, does? It's Louisiana-Lafayette, not LSU.

Should we talk about how, on a thread about Louisiana vs. Liberty, ltu fans and whatever the hell all41 is, chime in to derail the thread?

The only thing that worries me about Liberty is their QB. We have had problems with dual threat guys. I can also see a let down because we have already won the SBC West and will host the CCG.
I think we win but I expect a very good game.

O' Man, Leave it to a APPSTATE Fan to inform us that ULL is more physical than Ole Miss. lol 01-wingedeagle. Your team was taken behind the shed and that is okay, it happens to everyone. So please stop with how great ULL is. Liberty has the 13 Ranked D and a very good QB and playing at home is huge. We play different at home than away. Don't believe me, go look at the stats.

Now ULL is a good team, They have a solid Offense and a good D. I think this will be a close game and a Late turnover on either side is what will win the game.

I don't know which is worse, the Liberty-bashing or the ole, tired Louisiana name-game.

Louisiana's Warhawks -- Lousiana's Cajuns.

That’s a flat out lie. The whole name thing started with tech80.

Ltu has nothing to do with this game yet because of his sick obsession with what ul’s brand is that he felt the need to inject himself into this, thus ensuring it would be detailed.

You are such a fake and a liar.

Yes, and Coastal beat Kansas 49-21. App beat Coastal, Louisiana beat App.

What's your point? Match-ups matter, Louisiana is not a good match-up for almost any G5 team because of their size up front on both sides of the ball.

Perhaps you should go watch a few of their games, and their hallmark 10 minute 4th quarter drives, before commenting about something you clearly know nothing about. They lost to Texas in the 1st game of the season, to a team with a new Head Coach and little film on what they may present offensively and defensively. If that game were played in November I'd give Louisiana a better shot to win.

Last question, if you have no team, no conference, no affiliation, why are you here constantly? You haven't watched a single Louisiana football game. It's unlikely you've watched a Liberty game. Thus you have nothing to add.

You're a tool. How you have positive rep is beyond me. Maybe you make coherent arguments when you know what you're talking about on the WAC board but every comment you make here is asinine. You didn't come to this thread to talk football. You came here to stir **** up.

I literally said it would be a 4 point game. That they had a good offense and good defense.

We are in agreement, yet you dislike the fact that I said Liberty wouldn't match-up well with Louisiana in terms of size and physicality. That's a fact. I've watched Liberty and Louisiana multiple times this season. I'm not sure how Louisiana plays close games because they physically overmatch every G5 team that they play along the lines and it's been that way for a long, long time.

I didn't say Louisiana was great. They have NFL talent on both lines, two guys who will be in the NFL at running back, and Chauncey Menack (however you spell his name) will be in the NFL at linebacker. That's the truth. The game will be close because that's the kind of ball that Louisiana plays but it won't be because Liberty is better.

As for the "leave it to an App State fan" comment. I'll say that you lost to ULM while App was up 49-7 at Halftime on them...just saying...

Whenever you're ready to talk match-ups based on observation, I'll be here.
