We've had an offense problem all year long. FAU has I think one of the top red-zone defenses in the country right now. Our boys out there playing defense too. If we win it's not going to be pretty but a win is a win! We can cleanup later.

Figured Old Dominion was near App State circa 2014 when App began 2-5 and has a record of like 70-15 since then. I feel like Old Dominion turned that corner against LA Tech and their defense has played lights out for 2.75 games now.

Yes this game is all sorts of weird. I have never seen two safeties in a game let alone an ODU game. So that's first for sure.

I would argue that it is ODU with the edge on overall talent; albeit young and inexperienced. Ford stands out to me as an FAU player with exceptional talent but otherwise......and even there our Blake Watson is every bit as good, if not better.

FAU has a very good secondary, thought they are a bit small. The defense is overall decent but the lack of pass rush really hurts them. Our OL isn't great at pass blocking so I was surprised at how much time we had to throw, which opened up the downfield passing we really haven't had.

On offense, that was pretty ugly. THe little running back is a huge threat but the OL and QB really held them back.

It was a weird game but I didn't watch it thinking FAU has some great underutilized talent. I noticed ODU had a much bigger, more physical team. Especially our TE/WR vs. their secondary. FAU also killed themselves with dumb penalties.
