RE: WH admit high gas prices, longterm, is a way to push alternative forms of energy
If someone could wave a magic wand and turn all the gas motors in cars today into electric motors....
how does this white house expect people to travel from one state to state or even between cities in the same state when its over 200 miles? I seriously doubt if a family of 4 is in one of the below and driving 75 mph its going to get 80% of the listed miles on a charge. Even then will anyone really push it past a 1/4 mark before stopping to get a charge. I dont think so.
Here are the 10 longest-range electric cars of 2021 and most are small cars till you down to the cars that get around 250 and lower miles on a charge
1. Tesla Model S
Starting Price: $81,990 | Range 373 miles
2. Tesla Model X
Starting Price: $89,990 | Range 371 miles
3. Tesla Model 3
Starting Price: $46,490 | Range 353 miles
4. Tesla Model Y
Starting Price: $49,990 | Range 326 miles
5. Ford Mustang Mach-E
Starting Price: $50,900 | Range 305 miles
6. Chevrolet Bolt EV
Starting Price: $37,890 | Range 259 miles
7. Hyundai Kona Electric
Starting Price: $38,565 | Range 258 miles
8. Volkswagen ID.4
Starting Price: $41,190 | Range 250 miles
9. Kia Niro EV
Starting Price: $40,265 | Range 239 miles
10. Jaguar I-Pace
Starting Price: $71,000 | Range 234 miles
I found this on charging
How long on average does it take to fully charge an electric car?
A typical electric car (60kWh battery) takes just under 8 hours to charge from empty-to-full with a 7kW charging point. Most drivers top up charge rather than waiting for their battery to recharge from empty-to-full. For many electric cars, you can add up to 100 miles of range in ~35 minutes with a 50kW rapid charger.

Wait til you see how many miles of range are evaporated from their numbers when you run the AC.
There's nothing sexier than driving around in a $90K auto sitting in a puddle of ballsweat because you dont have enough battery to run the ac til the next charging station.

After seeing the below video I'm getting The All-Electric F-150 Lightning and I'm a Chevy person at heart. But the below video sold me on this one and like you I'm not getting it for any other reason than I think it will be fun to drive
