He did that, and reaped the benefits. Overall was decent at OU, good for 4 years at VCU. But, he sucks now. Thems da facts
He sucked at OU too. Having a future # 1 overall pick and 1st Team All-American carry you to 2 decent seasons does not make up for the other 3 where he couldn't coach a lick. "What have you done for me lately" includes OU where he didn't do much of anything. Nothing he did at OU justified him getting a second P5 job and he's showing why.
It shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone that he'd be terrible at Pitt. I've been saying Capel sucks since his VCU days.

With nobody able to come to the rescue and all of the sudden become a dynamic one on one scorer, we'd better completely revamp our offense. Two assists, on seven made FG's, shooting 28% fg and 1-9 from three. Also outrebounded 23-10. Can't get much worse than this.

How do you revamp it though? It seems to me the Keatts offense wasn't very dissimilar to this, we just had terrific horses to run it; lots of ball screens, guys who could hit 3's, and Cacok in the middle...that was the offense. And even then it would get a bit stagnant at times. Not very often, of course, but it happened.
Coach Siddle reinventing the wheel is a lot to ask.

Shooting a 28% field goal percentage in the first half is no way to go through life, son....
Trazarien started the 2nd half, which is of course an important signal when it comes to his playing time moving forward, and is making plays everywhere right now.

Adding in ball screens wouldn't hurt. Right now, we don't even do that.

Good. He's making things happen.
It may not be a "strategy", but if the system isn't producing at least throw a bunch of stuff against the wall and see what sticks. If it doesn't stick, throw something else up what might.

Yep. I wish there was a way to have him replace Fornes in the lineup, but I know that's not really possible. It would have to be Baker that he replaces.

Why is Fornes irreplaceable? I’m not sure what he does well.

I'm not saying he is, I'm just saying it wouldn't be Fornes that White replaces. Fornes needs to be taken out of the starting lineup regardless. Just not sure who you put in instead at the moment. I liked what I saw out of Jamarii Thomas but he didn't play at all tonight I don't believe. Oglesby was better tonight than he had been previously but was not really any better than Fornes.
If it were up to me based on what we've seen I'd have Phillips, Okauru, Sims and White in the starting lineup. Just not really sure who would be your 5th starter.

Yikes. Is Coach trying to teach Jamari Thomas a 'lesson'? (Do it my way , or you don't get on the court??). Hard to figure much out at this point.
