Pitt lost to WVU Friday night 74-59 and is now 0-2

Will be interesting to see how we do against what could be the worst team in the ACC

Pitt is quite down this year. Hope you guys show well and maybe even pull the upset. 8.5 point under dog on the road shows how little vegas thinks of Pitt. Good luck!

RE: @Pittsburgh - GAME 2
Pitt is HUGE. Their shortest starter the first two games was 6'5". They are 5-23 from three in two games while giving up 22-58. They are also 25-48 from the FT line while their two opponents are 12-22.

I'm not sure of the best path to a win here. Pitt is huge but they can't score...but neither can we. Their achilles heel has been giving up the three and turning the ball over, but i'm not sure we can shoot the three like the Citadel or that we can turn them over like WVU did. We're going to have to be really good at something on offense to win and we haven't shown that so far. My fear is that we drive to the basket like we did against IllSt. and are blocked constantly, and then we are putting up threes but don't hit. Unless we suddenly catch on fire from three, I don't see a win tonight. Pitt isn't good, but we aren't either. But they're really big, and we aren't.

I predict an UGLY game.

Sounds like a game we should really speed up and make them play fast

Agree, but you have to score to press and you have to rebound to get out on the break. Unless we are knocking down threes, I'm not sure where we get our points. The Citadel actually stayed close on the boards, so that may be our chance.

RE: @Pittsburgh - GAME 2
Well, they just got a good player available tonight so your 15 point margin may work out .

RE: @Pittsburgh - GAME 2
Since a lack of energy was the concern against Guilford, I fully expect the team to come out with some fire tonight. Even with Pitt's struggles so far, this is a very big non-conference road game, and if there is one thing we can control on any given night, its effort and energy.

Looks like we will have the same starting lineup tonight

Somewhat surprising, but it doesn't yet rule out a shake-up in terms of minutes distribution. To win this game we need to see an all-out 94 foot assault on the defensive end and that will require everybody contributing.

And of course we're still being referred to as "UNC Wilmington". Ugh.

Hmmm. Saw on UNCW athletic dept Facebook page where the school referred to itself as "UNC Wilmington". Same old, same old.
