Troy food
I'm heading to the Troy game this Saturday and want to get the 411 on places to eat from the folks that might know. Was thinking about trying Hooks BBQ this trip, any good?

RE: Troy food
Sisters' for good Southern buffet cooking.

Flo's Kitchen for good, cheap eats.

Sherman's Smoothies for good smoothies, sandwiches, and wraps.

Momma Goldberg's for good deli sandwiches.

Hook's BBQ for good smoked BBQ.

Santa Fe Cattle Co. for good steaks.

Preston's for good steaks. It's an unassuming place on the side of a gas station, but it has a sportsy feel with pretty good food.

Half Shell Oyster Bar & Grill if you're into oysters.

Mossy Grove Schoolhouse Restaurant for good food in a historic setting (100+ year old schoolhouse). Food is somewhat pricey.

Sips Beer Garden & Food Court for a unique drink/food experience in downtown.

Crowe's Chicken for the best chicken finger dipped in special sauce ever... but some Troy fans would debate that.

B. Graves if you want something a little fancier in another historic building in downtown.

Byrd Drugs Soda Fountain & Lunch Counter you want cheap eats and ice cream with a hometown feel. It's in an old building in the downtown square, inside a drug store that's been around for decades.

Hooks is incredible. Like CBT said Sister's Buffet has great Southern Cooking. Crowe's Chicken looks dirty but it serves some of the best friend chicken I've ever had.

Awesome thanks guys! I've tried Goldbergs & Santa Fe already. I think we'll stick with Hooks for this trip, but definitely saving this list for future.

Dolce is closed and Santa Fe is average at best.

Hooks, The Half Shell, and Sisters are tops.

B Graves is solid. The gem is The Old Barn right outside of Troy in Goshen. You won’t regret it.

You’re welcome to come by our tailgate as well

I highly recommend this place.

100% agree. It's about a 20 minute drive from downtown Troy though, but it would likely be worth the drive.

Hooks is very good. I like ethnic food, so my go to is usually Golden Crane (Japanese / Chinese sit down restaurant). Don't believe the hype around Mr Ho's if you hear it.

The hype used to be real...

Not anymore though.
