Exclamation Game Day: Ohio
Okay it is day 1, week 2 of MACtion, 2021.

The line seems to have dropped a point: Line: EMU -6.0
O/U: 60

Weather forecast isn't bad. Sure it says 'showers' but it is a 50% chance, maybe during the game, and the amount of rain 0.01 inches is almost a non-issue (now watch 1/4" come. 03-lmfao).

And if fans can't deal with 50 degrees, no wind to speak of, etc. MI isn't your state. Let's hope for a big turnout of the locals esp. students. (an antidote on students. I went to the Howard HC game. On the way there, I asked a student, "Are you going?" He said, "No, I'll watch it in my dorm." He probably wasn't alone.

https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/ypsila...ast/338814

Last week's stars, Beydoun and Rameriz are basking in their MAC glory and should reap their glory tonight on ESPN2.

BTW, with the exception of RG, where we are now using our 3rd starter, we have been largely staying with the same lineup from week to week. Injuries haven't been much of a problem.

https://emueagles.com/documents/2021/11/...df?id=8866

And an "uncompensated" plug for EMU SI. They are doing a REALLY GREAT job with their website, etc. Hard to imagine any school having better sports info website, etc. than EMU's. Very well laid out. easy to find things, very complete..

A game preview and prediction:

https://collegefootballnews.com/2021/11/...w-to-watch

One part that I found very true was this:

Quote:Eastern Michigan has already secured bowl eligibility, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

A whole slew of MAC teams will get to six wins and there won’t be enough spots. The Eagles have to keep picking up wins all while staying alive in the MAC West race

I know all of us our hoping for some help and a 9-3 finish to make the MAC championship game, but if that doesn't happen I think that is why tonight's game is so important. It is the most winnable of our last three games and gets us pretty much (99% I'd say) into a bowl game. Don't want to mess around, finish 6-6, and get left out.

I dont see many bowl games lining up to take a 6-6 MAC team on a 3 game skid

Here.....We.....Go....

Ohio gives up over 30 ppg and our Offense is rolling right now. Love this recipe.

Hoping we get Howie and Cannon back. Also, winning this game gets us to 7-3 which is awesome and should garner more attention to recruits.

Broken record....we need to start aggressive and creative early.

Glad the weather forecast has cleared up for this one. 50 degrees and no precipitation at 8:00 is about as good of weather as you can ask for during midweek season. I'll be there.

FYI, there's also a promotion today for $2 hot dogs, Natty Light, and hard seltzers.

Ohio allows 208 rushing yards per game compared to our 187 allowed.

As we have talked about in other threads, the MAC appears to have eight bowl bids this year. So if there are exactly eight bowl eligible teams then all of 6-6 MAC teams would get in. In that case I guess it wouldn't really matter what we did the last three games.

The issue would be if there are nine+ (which right now 10 teams either are or have the ability to become bowl eligible) then I'm sure it would be one or two of the 6-6 teams that would get left home. Thus why it is so important to get number seven tonight!

If we outgain Ohio in rush yards, we win this game!!!

Let’s go Eagles!

I have some skin in the game. I took Eastern Michigan -6.5 over Ohio. Prediction: EMU 38 Ohio 24. I am doubly into this game tonight. I believe in CC. What a gift he turned out to be for Eastern Michigan football.

Can we have our basketball team play defense! 1st series was mindboggling! The offense needs to score 40 points once again!

I hope Ben Bryant and co have another 50 piece in them, because this defense can’t stop a nose bleed.

I liked the call. The defense can’t make a stop. You need TD’s, and the offense had been doing well. Worth it to try and get 4 yards.
