Uni57, I hope NIU is way better than they were with Monty. I promise you this if they are it will be because they’re making 8 plus 3’s a game! It’s really that simple and I’ve been saying it for years and the dog pound posters have been saying I’m wrong.

And just last week you said the MBB will s*ck because Coach Burno is using the weave offense. It's still a long year, but the weave looked pretty good last night

They made 12 threes that’s how they won and I’ve been saying that’s usually they key to victory. The number of 3’s made will offset most negative things a team does.

RE: for your viewing pleasure (we hope)
What a great game last night, the team came ready to play right from the jump and it proved to be the difference. Hard to believe with all the turnovers, the inequity of fouls called and giving up so many offensive rebounds we were able to win. The 3's were the difference for sure as dc1 has stated at least 15 times on this thread, but it is true.

I thought for sure when we gave up the lead with 5 minutes left it was going to be a close but no cigar game, but the team stayed resilient even after missing a few bunnies that felt like they would bring us to our knees.

Great win and a proud Huskie today as I head out to Dekalb this afternoon for the biggest game at Huskie Stadium in a long time.

Will it offset the Weave?
