From the point of view of those who picked Pitt, Carolina making that field goal gives Pitt their only chance to cover the spread. If they miss, the Panthers win the game but don't cover. With the game tied Pitt can either get a winning field goal in regulation or go to overtime where they have a chance to win by 7.

And now Pitt gets to go on offense first. Normally that's not what you want. But if you are betting on Pitt and they score a TD first, then Carolina no longer has a field goal as an option. Either they also get a TD or Pitt covers.

Carolina should have been spanked coming off the WF game and traveling on the short week to Pitt. Pitt runs all over them until a few calls muck up Pitt to end the first half but Pitt's gone into the 4 corners. I can only imagine the "gee whiz, win one for some cancer kid being treated at Duke Children's Hospital" speech Mack laid on them at halftime.

At the end Pitt needed the help of God to win the game. Without the deluge, I think UNC wins.

The loss is on Mack Brown who in the 3rd quarter left 4 points on the field by going for a 4th and 6 on the Pitt 20 instead of attempting a very makable 3, and the asinine 2 point try after the first TD of the 2nd half. At what would have been 23-14 he still had normal scoring math and percentages in his favor if his defense adjusted, which they did. If he kicks for points in either of those situations the Heels win on the last minute FG instead of tying.

Heck, if he has those four points he doesn't need the last FG. He can just run out the clock. But both those situations show a surprising lack of confidence in your team's ability to score points. Considering how strong a second half team the Heels have been all year, there's no excuse for that.

FSU two point coversion is killing me.

Barring a miracle, that Wake touchdown likely seals the win for panite this week.

That's what I get for not reading the rules. I missed the part about not going over on the tiebreaker. Now all I need to do is actually pick enough winners so I have a chance at the tiebreaker. All I can say is it's a good thing I'm not betting real money. Maybe I can blame it on senile dementia.
