I’m 50/50 on the hype. Has me excited. Also, Has me thinking of other times across our athletic department where we didn’t meet the hype.

Kennedy welcomed it.

Ready for Tuesday!

UNT will be better than that. McCasland is a really good coach, and we played a respectable game at #16 Arkansas last Saturday.

Really looking forward to basketball season. Two CUSA bids are very realistically in reach this year.

I think all of these are undervalued. All are a tough out and will beat anyone on any given day.

68 - WKU
78 - LaTech
94 - UNT
136 - Char
146 - ODU

Not sure how good we are, but honestly think we're quite a bit better than 146

LA Tech plays at #15 Alabama this Tuesday to get things started. Then we play at NC State on Nov. 27th. But we're most looking forward to HOSTING LSU an hour from campus in Bossier City, LA on Dec 18th. That is when EVERYBODY will see how good our 2021 team is.

Let's go!

If we are truly the 8th best team in the league (and we may be), it will be a good year for C-USA as a whole.

RE: SI bball rankings
On a different bball related note, I was at the #100milesofhate game yesterday and walked past WKU center, Jamarion Sharp, who is the tallest player in D1 this coming season at 7'5. I'm 6'4 and have never felt so short my entire life. VERY thin, but wow....words can't describe how tall he is when you walk past him in real life.

Oh, and for all of you UL-Laf and UL-M trolls that are constantly crying on here about "Louisiana Tech won't play us, Tech is too scared...", you both get your chance- yet again this year.

LA Tech vs ULM (Nov 24th)
LA Tech vs UL-Laf (Dec 11th)

See you muddy footers soon!

Agreed. For the first time since Memphis was in the league, it’s actually a legitimate possibility.

This should be a two bid league. Should have been several times since the last realignment. We all need to go win those OOC matchups and stop losing to crap OOC teams.

Several Rice posters insist we will be significantly higher and some feel we will end up in the top 100.

Just a ton of returning production. Some say best Rice team in 50 years (and we have had at least 5 “really good” teams in that span, none made the NCAA although one was definitely that caliber)

NM State's ranking here is a bit low. We snuck past Texas Tech in a secret scrimmage last week despite both squads being depleted by injuries. Should end up a 11-12 seed in the tourney depending on health.

I can confidently say Marshall is a top 75 team. If we finish 8th in cusa, cusa should have 2-3 teams in the tourney. I hope we don't **** the bed ooc.

This will be a good season to follow CUSA. Road victories are tough. What teams are good enough to win on the road?

This seems like a good post to memorialize.

Rest assured every Herd loss this season will be either the refs fault or the worst game Marshall has played since forever.

It is. It’s been the CUSA problem for years now. We’ve had good teams, but collectively have not had anything substantial to back it up with. We must win good games, and we must do it as a group. If not, it’s going to be the same story come March.
