Good god, NMSU and JSU make amazing hires. Liberty backs the Brinks truck up for Hugh Freeze and SHSU is #1 in FCS. WKU is playing for a conference title. MTSU and UTEP are back bowling. LT moves on from Skip. FIU moves on from Butch and AD. Big things happening for the new CUSA.

It's looking like it can turn out to be a decent conference. In both sports. MTSU and FIU showing life in basketball too. All we need is a semi decent TV contract and I'm ready to get this conference rolling.

Hopefully JSU is an all boys school.

I'm sure he'll sign a deal that includes a "with cause" clause that will cover such things. It is still a BIG deal for a school like JSU.

Contract is finalized…

The deal covers four years through Dec. 31, 2025, although JSU’s president can agree to add an extra year to the agreement. The president must do so by Nov. 30, 2024. A copy of the contract was provided to The Anniston Star through a Freedom of Information request.

JSU President Don Killingsworth signed the agreement on behalf of the school Wednesday.

According to the document, Rodriguez's base salary will be $500,000. That’s the figure The Anniston Star reported Nov. 30, 2021, which was the day JSU hosted a news conference to introduce the coach.
