MY LINE: UAB 27-20 Something about this game spooks me. I think La Tech has a more WTF streak going on than UAB so taking UAB.

MY LINE: UNT 31-23 With all the realignment news spin that can get going in this contest I think UNT has been arguably a better team.

MY LINE: Rice 31-22 Based on trends I'm kind of not feeling either one but Rice has been looking somewhat better over their last few games.

The margin in the Memphis-SMU game depends on whether Henigan plays or not. Right now, he is listed as "day to day," but last time Silverfield listed a QB as day to day, he was actually out for the entire season. Henigan has been limited in practice for 2 weeks, and has trouble lifting his throwing arm over his shoulder.

With both good QBs hurt, our #3 guy gone to the transfer portal right before he had his shot, our #4 guy is terrible. Can run a bit but has no ability to pass. If he has to play, we could lose 50-0.

If somehow Henigan plays and is effective, we could maybe stay within 3 or 4 TDs, lol. There is no way it will be a 2-score game, no matter what.

And I'm usually an optimistic guy. Our only hope is the D stands up to SMU's offense, but who believes that, lol? This is the first game in maybe 8 years that we went into where I thought we had absolutely zero chance to win. I'm starting to worry we made the wrong hire. Silverfield sounds and acts a lot like Pastner.

REALITY SAID: ECU 45-3 Temple looked BAD, but ECU finished the deal in dominating fashion. Sucks our backup qb gets the pick that allows for a Temple field goal, thus preventing the shutout.

Memphis got its QB back, and our D played great. Put pressure on Mordecai all day. I was flabbergasted we were even in that game.
