Just saw the presser announcement on the JMU website for tomorrow at 10. Seems it is really happening. I couldn't be more pleased to welcome JMU to, what will be, an exciting East Division in the Sun Belt Conference.

OK, with this we're done, now let's get moving on cranking things up for 2022! (No good reason to wait until 2023, imo!)

For those wondering about the transition time for #JMU FOOTBALL to the Sun Belt:
I'm told JMU will play an "independent" mix of FCS/FBS games in 2022.
As for 2023, that's TBD. JMU will, for sure, be a full-time SunBelt football program by 2024.
Could be in 2023.

First, welcome (officially) to the Sun Belt. Next, I suspect 2022 will be your FCS transitional year. 2023 should be your FBS transitional year (playing an SBC conference schedule) with 2024 being your first year of FBS bowl eligibility.
