Well done JMU! Well played by our administration! It may be a rough 1-3 years, but I see us in the AP Top 25 in the next 5-6 :-). Proud to be a Duke Today! Might just have to call my Duke Club Rep and get some AMEX points.

President Aggler, as he was called, read from a script that had Jeff Bourne’s handwriting all over it. He literally read everything which tells you Athletics is not his expertise. We finally got Aggler to stamp a move to FBS with King and Bourne doing the work. It was clear that nobody in the legislature commission knew him.

i won't argue against those points.......... but Alger could have killed the move, and did not..... for today, i'm toasting to him !

Are we still allowed to be angry at Alger and Bourne? Is that still the trendy thing around here?

2012 me would've never have believed that JMU made the better conference realignment decision than ODU. Saved several million dollars in the process.

What will Dukeman deflect his angst at now?

That's just about the saddest celebratory post I have ever seen. Some folks are just impossible to please.

Huge day for JMU and thanks to Alger, King, Bourne and others for getting it done! I’ve been extremely skeptical of them in the past but am happy to eat crow and give credit where credit is due, as the new SBC is a great landing spot for us — well done!

Yes, hail the three amigos, Alger, Bourne, and King. My only complaint on the decade-long run up to this announcement was the lack of communication along the way. All forgiven now. Good job, gentlemen!

I’m sure if we scour the newest conference thread that there mor than a few posters eating crow tonight.

I have a feeling that this move is going to be extremely good for ODU. You have shed the stench of CUSA and have joined your true regional peers and rivals in the top G5 conference in the country. I expect your recruiting to soar, thus the quality and stature of your football team.

I remain elated!

As pro fbs as I’ve been for many years, I’m just as proud of how well run this shows our university to be. Regardless of the outcome, super proud to be a Duke.
