If they hammer us with the pending law moving through congress, it will do nothing more than increase the support for the legislation and the NCAA will have to suffer the consequences of their actions.

I can’t tell the nature of this post.

Let me summarize...
The previous poster said if we get hit with a tourney ban we should get ready for it to get ugly.
I countered that we have pretty much been on a self-imposed tourney ban for about 7 years - yet we have had the #1 recruiting class for 2 of the past 3 years.
So evidently missing the tourney has not really impacted our recruiting.
So what does he mean by "really ugly"?

There are no appeals through the ncaa system— I don’t see how we could have given up our ability to appeal through the courts— don’t know if we would be willing to do that with a Big12 invite “in the balance” but you can always sue and we might just have a case, if nothing else we might run out the clock on a 2022 ncaa tournament ban

Part of the agreement to be a member of the NCAA is to waive things like suing them in court. This is why we have this stupid internal "legal" system.

There is still more to be played out in the IARP process. Anyone telling you they know what the ruling will be, is lying. I don't see any way they can issue a ban for this season, now that we are playing games. If Penny has to sit or we have to pay a fine, that will likely happen immediately. But anything impacting postseason will likely be next year.

Yeah, IF there is a post season ban, I would be suprised if it were issued for this season. It is possible, but I would really like to think that they would go into effect next season.
