Is there room in the AAC for a Football-Only Invite ? (or all sports, F it)

NDSU is 144-11 in last 155, 8 Natl titles
NDSU has 2 Top 3 NFL draft picks in 5 years
NDSU has 11 current NFL players
NDSU has had ESPN Gameday 3 times in 7 years.
NDSU has $30 million budget, 19,000 sell out crowds (pre covid)

Lets GO! its a plane fight to Fargo every 2 years (and we can play Neutral Site games in Minneapolis Minnesota)

Are we your first choice or did the MWC turn you down already?

Mountain West is a top choice, but see the problem is they are too scared to invite us , LET ALONE SCHEDULE us for a game, its pretty sad.
So AAC might have some members with actual balls and would invite some legit competition

CUSA is the phone call to make. You’ve got an FBS conference that is in desperate need of FCS programs that are truly ready to move up. Give em a call.

A better way to view it might be to try and pull an App and come in and run the show right off the bat.
The MW schools would likely start scheduling as losing to FBS G5 teams is better than FCS teams.

also, the MW might pull NDSU in real quick once you are FBS. They just don't want to be seen as the FCS call up conference, rather the P5 call up conference

Ill give ya a tip. Dont assume fear. Nobody is afraid of a Division 2 team. Yes, you are successful but nobody at this level cares.

Its like when you see High Schoolers talking crap and acting big. You get away with it cause its High School (division 2) but when that High Schooler leaves and goes to college (FBS), they all quickly find out that nobody gives a bucket of piss that you were the prom king. Nobody.

A better way to go at this is to understand them and not assume. Its been reported that the MWC tv partners were not willing to increase the contract before their new deal in 2025.

Your best bet is the MWC. If you have to accept something like CUSA as a football only until they invite you, then thats what you need to do but honestly, I am not certain they would add you.... its a long flight for everyone involved and only truly benefits NDSU.

C-USA needs call ups. I've said for awhile that NDSU, SDSU, Montana, and Montana St should all move to C-USA as a block.
