Reported he is interested in UConn. If Temple is considering a coaching change, then this may be the year to do it.

Pretty certain there were some hard feelings when he left.... and its not like hes had a ton of success anywhere since he left.

Why anyone established would want Uconn is beyond me. He needs a rebuild that he can re-establish himself and damn if Uconn isnt one of the hardest rebuilds ever. Seriously, I think SMU after the death penalty might be the only job that was harder.

Between Umass, Uconn and possibly Temple, Id expect Golden gets one but that dude worries me. Seems like he was a one trick pony.

That one trick was pretty good. Has anyone really done better at the U than him? Shannon...about the same. Richt...yeah, a step up. Diaz...no. Miami doesnt look like the easiest job.

Miami has some issues but they literally sit in one of teh very best and most fertile recruiting grounds, ever. With 5 National championships to their name, I have no idea how they aren't more successful.

I don't think he left in necessarily the best way, but I don't think there's any animosity towards AG. He saved our football program.

Because they haven't played for a National Title since bolting from the BIG EAST... and they have adjusted really well to ACC "cheating ways".

Al Golden is a good football coach and it would be to his and Temples benefit to work together again. AG was recently awarded at an on campus event so no hard feelings. I just don’t think it will happen.

RE: Would Temple Have an interest in Al Golden?
He more or less saved the program so Temple people have fond memories. I think since Rhule the fans and alumni would wish we had someone with more northeast ties/grit who can tap into Nj/PA and get more from the 3/2 star recruits falling off the PSU/Pitt/MD/Syracuse/(now Rutgers) wagon…

Al Golden really pushed the “Temple Tuff” concept with the single digits. A lot of positive memories but, all that said, he wasn’t impressive outside of the MAC with Miami. I hate Carey and would take AG over him, but I would hope Temple would go in a different direction.

Either way, please fire Rod Carey. Thanks

Al Golden would be a safe/good choice. I'd avoid Fran Brown, unless you don't mind someone without HC experience or substantive Coordintor experience. Maryland made the mistake of picking Mike Locksley over Matt Canada. Locksley is a recruiter but can't coach a lick. Eventually the recruits will discover Locksley's failures and go elsewhere. Alternatively, there's K.C. Keeler. His team has won the last 17 games over 2 years at Sam Houston State. I mentioned him as a candidate here several years ago. But his age may not work in his favor, especially in a total rebuild.

Yep... It's too bad, Miami (FL) was incredible before joining the ACC, they were kings in the BIG EAST.
