I'm going to make two comment ...

AAC will become CUSA 3.0 in less time than it took CUSA to fail...starting in 2023
The 3 CUSA that went to the SBC would have cut off their left nut for a AAC invite.

I dont expect either group to agree with those two but going by the post on this board after every tweet or hint on who would get a AAC invite. Its plain to see the disappointment from Marshall and S. Miss fans when their name was never in one of those tweets. If any one of those 3 schools were offered a invite to the AAC....

they would be on here today saying how bad of a conference the SBC is.

What exactly did the SBC add? Two of the worse football schools to play in the BS over the past 3 years, along with a FCS call up that spends a lot of money. We saw how well that went when ODU was "that schools" moving up. Along with Marshall that has been right there more times than not. But just couldnt get over the hump. Marshall football in 2021 is a great add but does it offset 3 bottom feeders?

You can say the same thing for the AAC but also add to that they are losing every top team they have and backfilling with schools that have never shown they can consistently win. Actually they have shown they are more likely to run off 4 to 5 losing seasons for every 9 or 10 win season.

Make no mistake about it the SBC and the AAC just added 3 and 4 schools to their bottom in football and basketball. And only one add to their top. Neither top add on is good enough to offset adding to a bottom that just got HUGE.

Again you hope. Our recruiting classes are still at the top of cusa. Marshall and southern miss fanbases are full of dbags who are just mad they are stuck in the sun belt after having like 100 seasons of football ...

The joke here is that Southern Miss was talking with the Belt long before the AAC was making their move. If there is one team in CUSA who definitively did not want the AAC, and got what they wanted, it was Southern Miss.

SoMiss and Marshall both started talking with the SBC in the spring of 2020. It was even mentioned in our SBC Press Conference. "Marshall contacted the SBC over a year ago" was the quote from the Press Conference.
