None of this stuff even matters to me right now. I figured we’d have a strong season under Traylor but nothing like this. Being ranked #16 AP right now in just our 11th year is already so over the top for anything I thought might happen that everything else is just more sprinkles on the whipped cream.

I am also afraid the Cincinnati would have to lose twice to fall behind any other G5 team, regardless of whether or not they win the conference.

It is my understanding that Cincy to the playoffs fulfills the G5 access requirement. UTSA would need Cincy to slip up. It will be interesting to see the CFP rankings when they come out.

Thanks for clarifying this. I was thinking too that if we ran the table and Cincinnati stayed in top 4, that we’d be a shoe in for that NY6 spot. Didn’t know Cincinnati remaining in top 4 would still satisfy the G5. That’s kinda BS but whatever

But they HAVE to win the conference for the G5 autobid. They could lose to a ranked Houston or SMU in the AACCG title game, still be ranked ahead of the other 4 G5 champs, but not be eligible for that spot.
