Exclamation My FANTASY playoff format
It’s not a surprise that the SEC wants a 12 team playoff. But it doesn’t mean that the 12 team playoff is a sure deal in my opinion. Some of my thoughts.

1. The SEC is a single best conference but the Alliance will have much stronger political power if the BIG is really in sinc with the ACC. In the worst case, the Alliance can field their OWN playoff, covering the East coast, mid West, and the West coast.

2. The Big 12 would be a casting vote. If the Big 12 aligns with the ACC, then the Mighty SEC will have to fold. Let’s see: which one would be a better playoff?
A. The BIG plus the ACC plus the Big 12 plus the Pac plus some G5
B. The SEC plus ND plus some G5

3. Now my FANTASY scenario.
A. A four team playoff for the Alliance league where the Big Ten champ plays the Pac 12 champ in a semifinal Rose bowl and the ACC champ plays the second best Big Ten team in a semifinal Orange bowl
B. A six team playoff for the other league (the SEC plus the Big12 plus ND plus G5) where the SEC champ plays the Big 12 champ in a semifinal Sugar bowl and ND, other SEC and Big 12 teams, and G5 teams play the play-in games.
C. Finally, the champ of the Alliance league plays the champ of the other league in the national championship game.

Under this scenario, the Alliance would effectively play the 8 team playoff and the Other League would effectively play the 12 team playoff.

How does this sound?
