Game 9: @ Delaware
1:00 Saturday

At 6-2 and thumping Villanova, beating UD will really put us in the running for a playoff berth and even on pace to take the CAA crown. Split or better with JMU & UR (both at home) and we’re a lock. Gotta beat UD to have a real chance.

JMU has Campbell, us, and Towson. The Dukes did not play a FBS opponent.
Villanova has Elon, Stony Brook, and Delaware.

BEAT THE BOO HENS!!!

In recent times, we tend to play well as the underdogs and disappoint when we are the hunted. Let's hope we keep this train going against a Delaware squad experiencing some struggles.

RE: Game 9: @ Delaware
If the Tribe can beat Delaware and then the Tribe would be hosting the Dukes in a meaningful game in November. I certainly didn't predict this outcome at any time going into or during this season.

Before the season, I said all I want is for our UR game to be relevant. The spiders are already out of the postseason but beating them could very well determine our fate.

Glad to see some of our game 1 starters back. We need their leadership and talent.

For those who plan to attend the game:

Thank you for verifying and uploading your COVID-19 vaccination details. If you have uploaded your COVID-19 documentation more than a day before the event, you will need to return to UD Daily Health Check and complete the form again on the day of the event. When you re-enter your First Name, Last Name, Email and Date of Birth and select "Attending a UD Sponsored Event," proof of your COVID-19 documentation will be found and will not need to be reuploaded as long as it is valid.

Whether you are vaccinated or not, masks are required in all University indoor facilities and please follow UD guidelines. Thank you for helping UD Protect the Flock!

Is there a specific visitors section at Delaware?

Sections J, K, and L are behind the W&M bench. Section K is on 50 year line.

Thanks Tribal for the Covid rules! Just imagine if W&M required proof of full vaccination or negative PCR test to get into Zable!

Instead of 5,000, we would probably have 3,000 fans.

I suppose UD is okay with that. Their party, their rules. If that means 2,000 fewer Tribe fans, they are probably okay with that. 8,400 attended their game vs Dixie State of Utah so they’ll survive.

Delaware stadium on Saturday. Looks like you can easily socially distance too.

What about children? Do the UD policies require vaccinations there too?

Can we not do this every week? You wouldn’t go to the game anyway, so why beat the same drum? Your position is noted.

Now that I feel we have something to lose, this game scares me a lot.

RE: Game 9: @ Delaware
Tribe HAS to win this week! It will keep momentum going, keep them in the running for the CAA Autobid and Championship, and get them one step closer to the 8 wins likely needed to guarantee a playoff spot. If the Tribe finishes 2-1, they likely would play a SoCon team in the first round. 7-4 would be squarely on the bubble

IMO,
Go 3-0 and you are CAA champs
Go 2-1 and you are in
Go 1-2, and the 1 is JMU, you are in
Go 1-2 and we are on the bubble (I think we still sneak in but it is out of our hands)
Go 0-3 and we are out

Agree with all this! Right down to the sneaking in at 1-2 but not wanting it!

RE: Game 9: @ Delaware
I agree. The playoffs start Saturday. Win 2 games and they should be playing Thanksgiving weekend. But, winning at Delaware isn't something we have done recently. So starting with that would be a significant accomplishment. I am the one that said I thought we might go 5-6, so winning at Villanova and at Delaware in back to back weeks would be amazing. Focus definitely needs to stay on this week.

We need to impress the playoff committee this week with a win and a great team effort.

You normally wouldn't mark down a loss to Richmond as a bad loss. This season, it would be more of a killer than Maine

Wasn't Richmond's quarterback out for awhile?
