With few life lines left for C-USA, they could reach down into FCS for a lot of replacements.

I'm worried if this continues, we will dilute G5 to the point it becomes just like the FCS we left.

Is this (the sky is falling mentality) or a real thing?

I believe FBS will stick as a group. The A5 conferences need ours to fill out their schedules. If they only play P5 teams a lot of them won’t win as many games as they even do now. We will be given difficult access to the CFP but it’ll be there and we will just need to enjoy our post season bowls like we do now.

If ESPN wanted to start a NIT type tournament with some teams on top of the CFP I’d be cool with that.

Speaking of CFP, the 3 conferences that made an alliance, AAC, B1G and PAC have submitted a plan for an 8 team playoff and only the “P5” conferences have an auto bid, instead of the top 6 conference champs in the 12 team playoff.

Seems like an elite G5 should still have a good shot in an 8 team playoff. Cincy would be in this year. Even with the CFP ranking, I'd think.

I think BYU is as good as Cincinnati after watching them both. Wouldn't be surprised if Cincy lost by the time the conference championship game is done. Maybe ECU plays one of their typical end of year games where they explode and they improbably win? I don't know. I do know that they aren't a top 4 team in the country.

Cincinnati is looking ugly when they really need to be blowing teams out. On college football final Joey Galloway moved them to 5. C’mon bearcats don’t muck this up.

They won’t but the g5 conferences should just sue for anti trust.
