RE: Chandler Jackson
Either FSU was a better fit for him and he'd rather go there...or Penny thinks he has a better guard lined up and he didn't want to ride the pine in hoop city.

Or may be he wanted to play in the ACC for a team that routinely makes runs in the tournament?

I think the local guards realize that Penny is recruiting nationally and they will be recruited over if they aren't good enough to be one in done or two in done. Both Knox and Jackson would have to deal with that year in and year out.

Not to mention quite a few recent NBA success stories like Terrance Mann, Scottie Barnes and Patrick Williams.

RE: Chandler Jackson
Leonard Hamilton and Stan Jones recruit Memphis hard. And they've got a good program going.
Listening to Jackson and others around him, I never felt he wanted to stay in town. Sounded a lot like Kennedy Chandler interviews.
But I'm guessing Penny and this staff will be fine on the recruiting trail, lol.

I'm pessimistic on Kennedy based upon what I read on this board that small guards are garbage.

Although, I am skeptical that Kennedy's ceiling is as high as some say. Lottery pick? We will see.

No way. He may be the best college basketball player ever ( I doubt it). But he would have to be Napier or Morant or Walker or Young good.

RE: Chandler Jackson
Is he the chubby kid from CBHS? I wasn't that impressed from highlights I saw from AAU. If Knox isn't talented enough for Memphis, Chandler certainly isn't.

He’s a big kid, but not chubby. He’s definitely top 3 in the state. I read an article that ranked local teams like this:

1. Bartlett
2. CBHS
3. East

Guess we’ll find out in a few months…

RE: Chandler Jackson
It will be interesting to see him at FSU. They are typically a long, lean, athletic roster. Jackson looks more like a Big 10 guard.
