JMU has so much more of a foundation than coastal, I have no idea how you could possibly say this.

Based on what, success at the FCS level? If so, then by that logic, ULM has a better foundation too. But the difference is, we already are a top 25 program.

HUUUUUGE difference between having a top 25 team and being a top 25 program.

And your team is neither.

So what? We will be next week.

Then you'll continue the dick measuring contest by saying you've been there all year.

Then I'll say, you lost to the first team that had a pulse.

Then you'll say we almost lost to $.05 State.

Then somewhere along the way, either we'll both get put in time out, or this thread will be locked.

But none of that would change the fact that you can't troll worth a ****.

Well, if Coastal is 24th, and lost to App, while Louisiana caught App on a bad night in a trap game of sorts, but won by 29 points, Louisiana is almost certainly a Top 25 team.

Top 25 programs are harder to quantify, I'd think. Most G5's, if not all, would not be Top 25 programs in certain criteria while they would be in others (management, facilities, revenues, staff, etc.)

Coastal is still playing with some FCS and FBS Transitional recruits and it's showed the past two weeks.

As for fans showing up, I drove from Greensboro, NC to Edenton, NC last night and it was raining the entire way, quite hard at times. Greenville had some bad rain storms during the ECU game as well and their attendance was putrid. Anyone deriding Coastal for fans not showing up last night either wasn't in the area or wasn't paying attention.

I’m not trolling at all, I’m responding to trolls on my team’s Gameday thread. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to be here. Of course, you can’t stop the trolling on our threads, because you’re jealous as hell of our success.

I think this might be the best thing ericsaid has said about CCU! Thanks for speaking common sense. Any one of these fans on here or Twitter can say they would have great attendance during that bad of weather, from their keyboards.

At the end of the day there is very little reason to believe coastal will continue being successful after chodewell and McCall leave. Before that, they were a bottom feeder. We will see if they regress to their mean when their lightning escapes the bottle.

You gotta be kidding me...we were playing FBS teams with a team full of FCS players. I don't see Chadwell going anywhere tbh. He'll get that pay increase to top Billy Napier's base soon. He's technically already there with relatively achievable lucrative incentives, but he'll get his base increased soon. If they expand the playoffs for G5 inclusion, that dude isn't leaving for some random P5 outside the small elite group. We are recruiting as one of the best in the league right now. Coastal will only get better.

Before Chadwell/McCall, we were what, 3 seasons into being in the FBS?? Before that, in about 14 seasons, we'd become a perennial FCS playoff team and made the semi-final I believe the year before moving up. 8 total conference championships in 17 seasons. So where you got that we were ever a bottom feeder is beyond me. Jealous because ya'll had a 100+ year headstart and we've already caught you.

If anything, Chadwell's stock has lowered. Most SBC teams will be able to pay more than they have in the past and a lot of these coaches won't leave for just any school like they have in the past. Plus, Coastal has Joe Moglia, he'll make it happen if he feels Chadwell is worth keeping. This league has fed off of a Coastal playing with FCS recruits. Most of our super seniors were FCS players. COASTAL WILL ONLY GET BETTER!

On a Saturday, App may get 14,000 or so for a rain game like that, but App's baseline for fan attendance is quite a bit higher. In context, that's a 50% reduction from 28,000 (around average). So if Coastal had a 50% reduction from expected attendance with good weather, is it really that bad? No.

You don't see many P5 games in the rain. Would Alabama be filled up to play in a driving rainstorm and forecasted thunderstorms on a Thursday night? No. The answer is no.

It's a silly argument to make.

There are plenty of things you can criticize Coastal for, including McCall's inability to keep a measure of calm, but fan support in what was forecasted to be similar to tropical storm like conditions isn't one of them.

We don't want Coastal to regress. That is not in the best interest of the conference. We want everyone else to keep up. The wins show up in out of conference play and competition during conference play.

If you haven't noticed, Sun Belt recruiting has been Louisiana, App, and Coastal in the top 3 for the past two seasons I believe (in no particular order). Coastal, much like App, is still improving recruiting to the point where guys filling in for departures are oftentimes as talented if not more than the guys leaving.

You can’t reason with a handful of people who complained cause their panties were in a bunch, when we were in their threads “talking too much smack” for their high falutin likes.

Now that we’ve all been slapped on the wrist and warned, they are “so unimpressed with us/certainly don’t deem us worthy enough” that they can’t stay out of our threads without doing the exact same thing they claim to be too classy to do.

It’s ignorance and rabble rousing. They don’t have a team of their own that’s just lost their first conference game in two years to keep their attention on. Regardless of OOC strength, program history, recruiting, how long the next coach is gonna stay, etc… they’ll never admit we’re doing something right. It’s all just circumstance… circumstance they don’t understand is growing and changing and in its newest form is 1-1 against them, 1-0 against Louisiana. We won’t ever be them unless we run the table for 6 years while they wallow. That’s fine. Don’t wanna be them. I’ll take out lot.
