Exactly how big of a conference do you want to be in!!! If we were to add more, there would be teams you would once every 12 years or so.

14 is already a lot. One of the reasons a 10-team Sun Belt worked so well is because the schools played each other more often. 16 is too many.

If you can manage to see value in GaSt you'll have no problem seeing value in JMU

Going to 16 would actually allow us to see teams more often than staying at 14. Sounds counterintuitive, but 4 pods of 4 gives the best scheduling possible above 12 teams. Allows for a home and home with every other team within 4 years.

We need to get rid of divisions anyway, just have 3 protected opponents and the rest rotate each season.

Currently I have more confidence in JMU than ODU.

Those schools add lots of value. Value to tv media contracts. And to each school by the increased fan interests, so more ticket sales. Also helps in reduction of travel costs based on their location. Additionally they have decent brands. Its a win.

Why not??? Top two teams play in the CCG. Even the SEC is considering getting rid of divisions.

Enough . . . 14 is enough . . .

Just spitballing here, say we go to 16 or 18, and then the TV contract expires, and the 4 letter decides to negotiate the next one downward . . . (Not saying that’s going to happen) . .

This is still a G5 conference with G5 resources, not the P5.

If we were to follow the big guys to 16, after the Big XII takes SMU and Memphis, we just add ECU and LaTech(if they have repented) and call it a conference.
