One of the advantages to the Flo Sports contract is the ability to broadcast numerous games on linear television. While sadly many CAA school are not taking advantage of this opportunity, Drexel is using their Flo money to promote their product.


This season, 6 Men's and 4 women's games will be on regional TV in Philadelphia. Including the Syracuse game and the 2 CBSSN games, 9 games men's games will be on linear television this season. Of the 4 women's games being picked up, 3 are opponents in the Philadelphia regional market.

Sunday, January 23 – 2:00 p.m. vs. Delaware
Friday, February 15 – 7:00 p.m. vs. William & Mary

Regional TV deals just aren't going to move the needle much for any of the metro-based schools. Drexel could have all their games on NBCSP+ and they still wouldn't get any significant share of the Philly market. But as much as I think a better deal would benefit the conference, selfishly I love it!

Anything in the regional market is a positive. It is not about gaining market share as much as its just being visible

Channel 846 on Xfinity. Both NBC Sports channels are also on Verizon FIOS, RCN and Service Electric. Those with YouTube TV in the Philadelphia region can also get it without cable. I think there's an upcharge for it.
