Not even close!!! The closest would be SCSU, built in 1989, yet in 2013 they did a extensive $14.7 Mil addition and renovation which included a new atrium and entrance, west-end seating, expanded suites and club level seating, wider concourses, a new team store and $600,000 strength and condition area.

I've been in all the NCHC facilities with the exception of CC's new building. Not just the rink, but the locker room, training room, players lounge, academic study areas, staff offices and weight rooms. Everyone else in the NCHC is at another level, including our MAC counter part Miami.

The player facilities are ok but not on par with what’s going on. The locker room was last renovated in 2004ish for only 2 million. Everyone else has gone full on LeD large locker rooms and full weight rooms and hot and cold pools and expansive lounges. Everything inside Lawson is small except for the hockey equipment room. There are some excercise bikes and other basic equipment but not much. You can get away with it cause it’s a true “hockey barn”. But it’s not to par with what everyone else is doing.

RE: PairWise & Rankings Talk
With our current budget situation, absent a major donor stepping forward to fund a renovation/expansion of Lawson facilities, this is probably a moot discussion.

On raising the roof - part of what makes Lawson what it is regarding atmosphere is the feeling of the fans being right on top of the action. Part of that is the noise which is helped by the relatively low ceiling. Any renovation plan would need to have the architects keep that in mind that we don't want to lose that.

We should have player facilities on par with most of our conference brethren. If we don't, that could be addressed.

If the $$ were to magically appear to do a major retooling of Lawson, I'd be all for it.

I'm so old, I was there when it was built and I don't think I ever missed a home game. The barn was packed that first couple of seasons and I remember it fondly. The only thing we didn't have was the Lunatics.

Brown and Gold Laker - just curious, how did you get access to all those facilities? Were you with the team in some capacity?

You're just wrong. We're talking about player facilities. Nobody cares about concourses. They player facilities are completely fine. If they were so awful - we wouldn't be recruiting at the level we do.

Lawson is filling to about 98-percent capacity this season, which ranks among the top six programs in attendance in the country. And our talent level on the ice has us ranked in the Top-5. I think the facilities are doing just fine currently.

I could've sworn the locker room was updated in the early 2010s when the program was rising.

Recruiting visits (2 children) and various hockey camps.

StrikeGold1, have you visited "ALL OF NCHC TEAMS" and toured "ALL" of their facilities? (I have, - CC "new"). I think you have no idea what you're talking about....

My only hope is our new AD (who is conducting a SWOT analysis) is taking advantage of this special hockey season to not only follow the team, but go and visit each of the other NCHC programs and tour their facilities.

It's channel 1643 on AT&T U-Verse and it shows UNO at Miami on their schedule.

CBSNN is broadcasting two games this week. Since WMU/SC was suppose to be last week, it might destined for the app this week. And the UNO/Miami tilt gets it already scheduled slot.

Who’s on the schedule for next weekend?

I know we aren’t but depending on how this weekend goes next weekends games vs Denver may decide the Penrose and its not on CBSSN?!! Should be on regardless.

I can’t believe Lawson didn’t get a CBSSN invite and somehow Miami did? Please explain that logic to me.
