I’ve watched them all. Penny is better than I thought he would be.

What a treasure LB is and to have him on staff is incredible. He hasn't lost a step mentally, he never once paused in search for a word like so many 80 year olds I know. His recall is phenomenal.

And Penny, man, I guess I just never considered his intelligence, only his athletic ability. He is so damn smart. I hope we can keep him.

Anyone know where I can obtain a cap similar to the one Penny is wearing in this?

I seem to recall Penny predicted Memphis would win the national title. If so, that was anything but media savvy. Maybe I'm wrong on that recollection.

Interesting interview, I could not help but think while Penny and Larry were talking about teaching the fundamentals to players how Penny epitomizes that as a player and a coach. Especially as a coach, He played the game for years and he developed into a hall of fame player. He was injured and still he contributed to every pro team he played for even though he no longer had the exceptional athletic ability. Because of his understanding of the game and his control of fundamental principles he was always in the game for the teams he finished up with. Then when he became a coach he took all of that knowledge and coached middle school kids to play the right way and won city titles. He then went to coach high school players and won three state titles in three years. Then when everybody else was crying for Penny to become the coach at Memphis I still thought he needed to spend a few years as a college assistant. Boy was I wrong! Penny was ready and prepared. I should have realized that he had been preparing all along to be the head coach at Memphis. I thank God nobody listened to me.

That is not an unrealistic expectation and likely a safe bet.

Some people are exceptional...But you probably shouldn't bet on that.

He was talking about what Desmond Merriweather said - context matters.

I finally listened to this episode. It is really good.

I have not heard anyone comment on the absolute shot LB took at Coach K! It was perfect, IMO. Seems there is no love lost between those 2.

I didn't hear that.

Not sure about the video in the OP, but it was definitely on the audio podcast.
Brown was talking about Dean Smith at UNC. It was a story on Dean's retirement, and how it went down pretty quickly. Dean took care of his AC by forcing UNC to promote him as Dean's replacement, got him a 2 year contract, and left him with a fully stacked roster. Then LB said something like, "unlike that guy in Durham who is taking a full-year victory lap for his retirement".
