Great look for the black man. The black men standing there should have handed out the beating and apologized to the woman for his behavior. It’s not hard. Do the right thing.

I meant her boyfriend who didn't do anything. He's the one I meant didn't bother to defend her, because he's tired of her doing the same thing. Sorry I wasn't clear.

I think its easy to criticize the men on that subway for doing nothing; but being honest I can easily see them thinking "Eff it, it isn't worth it for me to intervene. She's not someone I know, she is likely some other crazy person." It would be a different story if he continued to beat on her, but she got slapped and it was over.

Anyone that has been on mass transit in major cities know there are a bunch of unstable people that ride those things. You say something and that guy pulls out a knife or a gun. You start wondering if he has a buddy who might also jump in or whether the woman is with him and she starts going bananas. As others have alluded to another alternative is someone pulls out their phone, records it and now it's going viral and some blue check mark person is making comparison's to you and Hitler. You lose your job, a bunch of BLM/ANTIFA types show up at your house and your kid gets beat up at school.

It's just so much easier to stay in your lane. Sorry that is the way it is today.

Sadly---there is no doubt a lot of truth in that. Everyone on that car is heading somewhere else and has to make a mental calculation if its worth getting involved in that mess. Given the political tilt in NY---its very possible its viewed as a no win situation by everyone in the car. If you get involved you might actually lose the fight (that would suck)---or have the crowd turn on you (that would suck)---or win the fight and perhaps have the crowd turn on you (sucks) or you win the fight and end up with legal problems in a local justice system that might brand you as racist. On the other hand---you could just get off the subway at your next stop and never have to think about that incident again. Sadly---just going on about your business is probably the path of least resistance in a place like NY.

After popular TikToker @tizzyent posted a video on the incident, the brother of the assailant in the video identified him as Griffin Kinard. "Unfortunately, this individual is my brother and his name is Griffin Kinard," Quinten Kinard wrote in the comments section of the video. "My family and I don't condone this f*cking disgusting behavior."

"Mind your business!" the man says repeatedly as he continues to verbally attack the victim. "It ain't about being a role model if I get my f*cking respect from people like you." He continues to rant about being a "f*cking suspect" to the crowd. "When my family is on the train, move out the way," he adds before the video runs out.

Im sure Id regret it but I would have gone to his ass over that without even thinking. It would have been just an instant reaction. I do not tolerate hitting women...period.
