Yes. App State, Louisiana, JMU, ODU, Coastal, GSU, GS, Troy, USM, USA, Texas State, Arkansas State, and ULM can be our first mates.

In my opinion, there is no flagship of the conference. We all want each other to be the very best we can be. That helps every one of us.

You mixed up your references as well. It wouldn't be first mates. You would have a strike group centered around a carrier.
And we all know who the carrier of the Sun Belt has been since 2015. That doesn't die with a loss to Louisiana. It only dies when someone else wins the Conference Championship Game and Coastal ran away from that battle last year so it hasn't yet changed.
