RE: OT - World Series
Good game, toguh loss, but was prepare for it after we got the first two at home. Half of the metro truned out, it wasn't quite times square but it ssure was fun. Didn't really see any masks even on the security and staff that were working. Oh, well. Guess people are tired of the BS.
Disagreed with Sniotker not PH for Tuker in Bot2nd and trying to get more from him. He'd barely pitched this year due to injury and I thought him going 2 for mour depeleted pitching staff and only giving up 2 runs was as much as you could ask. really felt awesome when Duvall hit that GS in fiorst. Thought it was just going to be another fly ball. Atmosphere was electric, and felt kinda bad for Hourston to have it start like that. To their credit, the Astors didn't quit or feel tired, but ame right back a bit at a time. When you think about it, excepting the Grand Slam in the first, the Astors won the rest of teh way 9-1.
Houston gains a lot of momentum now going back to their hoke park, not having to come back on the road anymore, coming back from a big early deficit and now only needing two wins in a row instead of three. Considering the split of the first two games I'd definitely be happy with taking 2 of 3 at home against a very good Astors team and still being up. This was Game 5, the one that Charlie Morton would have started had he not got hurt. If he had been there, far more likely this thing would have been over. But you play what you're dealt, not what could have been. Astors did their job and got it back to one more game at least. Good for baseball and the fans. Speaking of fans, was really funny to hear so many chants of about Brandon, all through the night and the chop coming from folks who showed up to celebrate that was extremely diverse. Good to see regular folks don't fall for the ignorant censorship clowns stuff. This city is a lot of fun, and more together of a community comfortable with its diversity than the most of the misinformation-spewing media wants people to believe. Go Braves, chop, chiopp, choppity. And should the Astors prevail, well, it has been a heck of a great season either way and two great teams to finish with, and no Yankers or Dogs anywhere around! Go Braves, and Go Glenn! Hope both can get a win on Tuesday!
